As we end the month of September, the temperatures are dropping, and that means the start of cool nights camping, holidays, and service projects. The calendar has been updated, and the new scouting year is upon us.

We have 4 newly elected boys to the Order of the Arrow. Congratulations go out to:

Rest In Peace Ransom Terrell

Boy Scout Leaders and Friends,
It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of Ransom Terrell.  He passed away at Spring Valley Hospital this afternoon.  He was admitted last evening after a cardiorespiratory arrest.  Despite maximal life support measures he passed away this afternoon.
In lieu of flowers Nancy and Tyler are requesting donations to be made to Boy Scouts of America - Troop 848.  The donations can be sent to Community Lutheran Church, 3720 East Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89121 attention Jerry Routh, Troop Chaplain.
Be certain to designate on your check BSA - Troop 848 and note it is for the Ransom Terrell memorial fund.
Cards can be sent to Nancy and Tyler Terrell and family at 1726 Ottawa, Las Vegas, Nevada 89169.

Its hard to believe that such a great person was taken away for us to soon. Ransom impact many youth and scouts throughout his life. He was there when ever you needed something. Great memories where left behind and his touchy laugh that made you smile and laugh along.

Ransom will be missed. Rest In Peace.
Scouters,
You MUST talk to Dr. Jerry about your money for camp. Make sure that all of the money is paid by the time that we leave on July 13 and that you have all of your merit badges selected. THIS IS IMPORTANT!
